Michael M. - "Laughter"
Watching old war movies is not something Michael would normally do, but watching with his patient was completely different.
This is one way Michael has gotten to know him as a person, and even more so, as a friend. Engaging with clients in activities that enrich their life and bring happiness to each day is an integral part of Interim’s HomeLife Enrichment® model of care. The connections Michael makes and his ability to help others are the most rewarding parts of his job.
Michael has been a Home Health Aide at Interim HealthCare in Chatsworth for a year and a half. He has a phlebotomy license from UCLA and is currently working towards his nursing degree. The flexibility that home care offers was a big draw for him. He works when he is available and when he has classes, it’s not a big issue.
For Michael, taking care of others started at an early age, whether it was caring for his grandmother when she became terminally ill or working with Cerebral Palsy patients prior to Interim. He brings laughter and joy to the patients he serves and his clients love him for it.
